Kathryn Capley's sculptures are made of metal tubing, solid copper and painted. The sculpture is designed to be outdoors, year around, in any climate. Ms. Capley's sculpture is a terrific addition to any landscape design. The energy of the line that describes the figure coupled with the intrinsic ethereal nature of the work animates and energizes the garden without dominating or weighing down the landscape. Like light on water, the play of sun and shadow on the surface of the sculpture further animates these works. Particularly interesting is viewing the sculpture in the snow and ice and when lighted at night. Any subject and/or scale may be commissioned, especially site specific works.
